Your first visit is a thorough 60-minute telehealth consultation — no rushing, no assembly line. We’ll go over your full medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. I’ll review any relevant labs and we’ll talk openly about what’s been working, what hasn’t, and what you’re hoping to achieve. From there, I develop a personalized treatment plan just for you. Everything is done virtually via a secure video platform, so you can join from the comfort of your home or office.

Great question — this is one of the most common things patients ask. Lab work is done at a local lab near you (such as LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics). I’ll order your labs and you’ll go in for a simple blood draw at your convenience. Results are sent directly to me, and we’ll review everything together during your telehealth visit. No need to see a different doctor for labs — I handle the ordering and interpretation as part of your care.
Hormone Health FAQs
-
Hormone optimization therapy uses bioidentical or pharmaceutical-grade hormones to restore your body’s natural hormonal balance. At Peak Performance Institute, we assess your current hormone levels through comprehensive lab testing and create a personalized treatment plan to address deficiencies in testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, and other key hormones.
-
Men and women experiencing symptoms of hormonal imbalance are often good candidates. This includes fatigue, low libido, weight gain, mood changes, brain fog, poor sleep, and other signs of declining hormone levels. We conduct a thorough health evaluation and lab panel before recommending any treatment.
-
Many patients begin noticing improvements in energy, mood, and sleep within the first 2–4 weeks. Optimal results typically develop over 3–6 months as hormone levels stabilize. We monitor your progress through follow-up appointments and lab work to fine-tune your protocol along the way.
-
Bioidentical hormones are designed to be molecularly identical to the hormones your body naturally produces, which generally makes them well-tolerated. As with any medical treatment, there are potential risks, which is why we carefully evaluate each patient’s health history and monitor labs regularly throughout treatment.
-
No referral is needed. You can schedule a consultation directly with our team. We’ll review your symptoms, health history, and goals to determine if hormone therapy is right for you. If appropriate, we’ll order labs and develop your personalized treatment plan from there.
-
Yes, hormonal imbalances are a common driver of unexplained weight gain, persistent fatigue, and sluggish metabolism. By restoring optimal hormone levels, many patients experience improved energy, easier weight management, better body composition, and an overall sense of vitality that they hadn’t felt in years.
Medical Weight Loss FAQs
-
We offer physician-supervised weight loss programs that may include GLP-1 receptor agonist medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide), metabolic testing, nutritional guidance, and ongoing monitoring. Each program is tailored to your body composition, health history, and personal weight loss goals.
-
GLP-1 medications have been extensively studied and are FDA-approved for weight management. Like any medication, they may have side effects, which is why we provide ongoing medical supervision throughout your treatment. We screen patients carefully and monitor your progress to ensure safety and effectiveness.
-
Results vary based on individual factors such as starting weight, metabolism, lifestyle, and adherence to the program. Many patients using GLP-1 medications in combination with lifestyle modifications experience significant and sustained weight loss. We set realistic, healthy goals and track your progress every step of the way.
-
While our program is designed to work alongside lifestyle changes, we tailor our recommendations to your schedule and preferences. We provide nutritional guidance and movement tips, but we focus on sustainable habits rather than rigid restrictions. Our goal is to make your weight loss journey realistic and long-lasting.
-
Weight maintenance after stopping medication requires a strong foundation of healthy habits built during the program. We work with you to develop a long-term maintenance strategy — including nutrition, activity, and lifestyle adjustments — to help you sustain your results even as you transition off medication.
-
Coverage varies depending on your insurance plan and the specific medications or services involved. Our team can help you understand your options and explore any available coverage. Many patients find our programs to be an accessible investment in their long-term health.
